So, you have a client that doesn’t appreciate the value of your service or product…..

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t. which means, you have no idea where you’re actually going. You’re either on autopilot, going round and round in circles; you’re on someone else’s agenda, your clients and employees; or a combination of both. If you’re not working on your own agenda, then you’re working on someone else’s. If you’re working on someone else’s agenda, then you’re working towards someone else’s goals. It’s time to work to your agenda. Think. What really matters to you. Where do you want to be next month, next year and in ten years from now. What do you want your business and your life to be? What makes you happy, and what makes you miserable? By knowing where you want to get to, your destination, you will have programmed your internal sat nav to take you there. Now it’s down to you to make the right decisions and take the right turns to get there. Sure you’ll hit a few traffic jams and road blocks along the way which may well slow your journey down, but your sat nav will re-route you and get you back on track because it knows where you want to be. It all starts with getting uncomfortable, yes, that’s right, UNCOMFORTABLE! Well actually, it’s about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. We spend most of our lives seeking comfort. In fact, you probably started your business with a view to building yourself and your family a comfortable life. The problem with this is, nobody ever grew from within their comfort zone. Successful people, are always pushing their own boundaries, they are comfortable taking risks that for the rest of the world looking on, consider to be crazy. You know, its OK to fail sometimes. By taking risks, doing things differently and not getting the desired results, we learn, and when we learn, we grow. One of my favourite acronyms is fail: F.A.I.L. = First Attempt In Learning So how do you get comfortable with being uncomfortable? You just need to challenge yourself. Not to the point that you set yourself up to fail, but start by doing something that you’ve never done before. For the majority of people that read this, I would bet good money that the thought of recording video content for their business marketing efforts would make their palms a touch sweaty. In fact, 12 months before writing this, I would have run a mile from a camera, but, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone regularly (2 or 3 times a week) for about 8 months and guess what, I now record videos with relative ease and confidence. Every time you take a step outside your comfort zone, you grow. The more frequently you step outside it, the faster you grow. The faster you grow, the bigger your comfort zone becomes. But where do you start? Start by setting yourself a goal, pick one thing that you really want to achieve or change. Once you get clear on your goal, there will be an obvious path you need to take to achieve it. Break the path down into small chunks and get to work with getting uncomfortable. If you do it consistently, you’ll be amazed at just how quickly something that scares you today, will start to feel natural and comfortable. The key, is to just get started. The longer you spend procrastinating over it, the harder it is to push past your barriers. So what are you going to do this week that will help you grow? If you'd like some help figuring out your path and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, give me a shout!

I had a little accident and let’s just say, I didn’t get my eggs…🤦🏻‍♂️ But then I remembered how much LinkedIn loves a good analogy! 😜 So here it is: In your daily life as a business owner, you have many tasks. Some you love 🥰, and some you loathe! 🙄 Let’s say you have an important goal or task. Sometimes you have to do unpleasant things in order to complete that task or meet that goal. You can say you had to break a few eggs 🥚 (those are the unpleasant things) to make the omelette (that is the task or goal). You’ve all heard the phrase: “You can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs”. This means it is impossible to get something important done without creating a problem for someone else. So, the result may be good for you, but not for everyone.🤯 You need to judge each of these tasks and assess the eggs that you need to break (People you might upset). 😭 Is the result of making the omelette worth breaking these eggs? 🤔 If it is, you need to do it. 👊🏼 If it’s not, you need to find another way to make your omelette. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Whatever happens, if you know you need to make an omelette in your business, you need to find a way to make it. 🥚 Have a great week. 😜 If you’d like some help figuring out how to make your omelettes ensuring you break only the eggs that need braking, give me a shout. 🗣 P.S. kitchen towel is useless when it comes to cleaning up eggs! 🙄

"The state of your business is entirely your fault. YOU are in control of what you DO, and DON’T DO. STOP blaming others for your failings." 🙄 It’s time to take back the reigns. 💪 YOU have to conquer the barriers holding you back, before you can really move ahead. It's up to all of us to push through our own roadblocks.⁣ ⛔ Stop blaming the masses, and start looking at yourself. 👀 What you put into the world is what you will receive. And this is ALL up to YOU. 🤷‍♂️ So, don't wish it were easier, wish that YOU were better. 🤟 Becoming a success in business AND life is only limited by what you are willing to work for. 👷‍♂️ I have always been an ambitious person, wanting to succeed in every aspect of my life. How are you making it happen in your business and your life? 🤔 Want some help pushing through the roadblocks that are holding you back? 💣💥 Give me a shout. 🗣

It’s a lengthy process and requires some deep thought. 🤔 That’s why, so many never get around to doing it. 🤷‍♂️ Planning for the success of your business is essential, however it doesn’t have to be as complicated or time consuming as putting together a formal business plan. 😲 In fact, unless your seeking funding, investment or looking to sell your business, I’d go so far as to say it’s a waste of time putting together such a lengthy document only for it to gather dust and be completely outdated by the time you actually need it. 🗃🗄 I have found the most effective way to plan for the growth of my business is to break it down into smaller chunks. 📝 A quick review of the last quarters performance and results, followed by planning for the next quarter including setting deadlines for each task, generates more forward momentum and growth, than a detailed plan that is filed away and never actioned. 📈 To take a couple hours out of your business every quarter, and review the last quarters plan followed by planning for the next quarter, will net you better and more consistent results than you have ever achieved in your business before. 💪🏼 I have a great, simple template that I am offering to you for FREE to help you with this process. 🤯 I have set out the questions you need to be asking yourself and all you have to do is fill in the gaps. 🖋📋 For any serious business owner out there, this is crucial to your long term success. 🏆 Pop me a message and I’ll send you a copy of the planning toolkit for FREE so you can start to plan for your business quarterly and achieve some amazing results. 📱💻 That’s it for todays business bite. 🦈 If you’d like to learn more just give me a shout! 🗣
